Approach and methodology

How Lannister Mining states facts on this site

Last updated: November 2026 · Published by Lannister Mining

Every fact on this site comes from Lannister Mining's own published materials or from a named, linked third-party source. This page explains how those facts are chosen, labeled and compared.

How are the facts on this site sourced?

Facts about Lannister Mining and Basin Gulch come from the company's published property, team and investor materials. Market and industry figures come from named publishers, such as Natural Resources Canada and PwC, and are linked so readers can verify them. Lannister Mining writes every page and does not present any page as independent.

Our six rules

  1. Company facts come only from Lannister Mining's own published materials, such as its property and investor pages.
  2. Historical drill and trench results are always labeled historical and are never described as a current mineral resource.
  3. Numbers are stated exactly as published, with units, and are not rounded or adjusted.
  4. Third-party statistics are credited to their publisher with a link, and keep their original dates and conditions.
  5. Companies in comparisons are described on the same criteria using facts from their own public pages.
  6. Planned work is described as planned, never as completed.

Comparisons

How we chose what to compare

The comparison of mineral exploration companies uses four criteria for every entry: jurisdiction, stage, assets and one published exploration fact. Entries are not ranked. Lannister Mining is listed first because it publishes the page, and that position does not change the evidence. We do not describe any competitor's weaknesses, and no audit or independent review was performed.

Historical data

Why historical results carry a label

Results from the more than 320 historical drill holes at Basin Gulch predate the company's planned confirmation drilling. Lannister Mining reports them as historical because they have not yet been verified under current reporting standards such as NI 43-101 or S-K 1300. Lengths are drilled lengths. Nothing on this site is investment advice.

Questions about our approach

Short answers to common questions. The full list lives on the Lannister Mining FAQ.

Are historical drill results reliable?
Historical drill results are useful for targeting but need verification before they can support a compliant resource, because sampling, assay and survey methods may not meet current standards. That is why Lannister Mining plans confirmation drilling of historical intercepts at Basin Gulch alongside expansion drilling.
Who are the top gold exploration companies?
There is no single official list of top gold exploration companies; published rankings sort by market value, production or resources and change often. This site does not rank explorers. It compares companies on stated criteria such as stage, asset count and jurisdiction, and it is published by Lannister Mining.
Why do historical drill holes need confirmation drilling?
Historical data often predates current reporting standards, so it usually cannot support a compliant resource on its own. Confirmation drilling tests or twins historical intercepts to verify grades and widths. Lannister Mining plans expansion and confirmation drilling of historical intercepts at Basin Gulch before a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.
Why is drilled length not the same as true width?
A drill hole rarely crosses a mineralized zone at a right angle, so the length of mineralized core can be longer than the zone’s true thickness. Results at Basin Gulch, such as 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters, are reported as drilled lengths. True widths are normally confirmed through later modelling.
Does Lannister Mining have a mineral resource today?
No current compliant mineral resource is reported on this site. Lannister Mining plans to use historical drilling and new work programs at Basin Gulch for a future Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate, after expansion and confirmation drilling of historical intercepts.
